THE TEAM
Since 2014, Creativ Sün Films team produces short and mid-length non-fiction films SHIHAN (Wadadli Film Festival 2019), LIVE EDGE (Rapport Film Festival 2018, Wadadli Film Festival 2019), THE SEA BETWEEN US (Sunchild 8th International Film Festival 2018, Green Screen Film Festival 2018) and YOLE (Women of the Lens Film Festival 2018, Jacht Film Festival 2018, Rencontres Cinémas Martinique, 2019).
In 2019, the team is a finalist for the Tribeca Film institute, Ryot films and IDFA IF/Then Global Pitch at IDFA 2019 (International Documentary Film Festival of AMSTERDAM).
STEPHANIE SAXEMARD - CO-FOUNDER I DIRECTOR I DP
Stephanie Saxemard is a martinican documentary film director, cinematographer and producer with a solid background in political science.
After an Mphil in International Cooperation from the Université des Antilles and an MA in Human Rights from the University of London, Stephanie worked as a researcher, analyst, and project coordinator in nonprofit organizations.
Since 2015, she focuses on documenting the contemporary Caribbean. She has directed and produced several independent nonfiction films.
Her cinema vérité explores the themes of identity, migration, and environment through intimate character-driven storytelling.
ZEPHRINE ROYER - CO-FOUNDER I IMPACT PRODUCER
Zephrine Royer, co-founder, holds a PhD in Bilingual Education. She is a researcher and consultant in Bilingual Education, writer and creative & impact producer from Dominica.
She grew up on books from Caribbean authors and from an early age fell in love with Caribbean stories, their colours, textures and soul. As a younger writer, she received several awards for her poetry in Dominica. Her creative writing is strongly rooted in the Caribbean reality and imagination.
Zephrine is currently writing her first novel, a coming of age story of a young Caribbean girl.
She also publishes “A Glimpse of Life”, an online series of micro stories that capture fleeting moments of everyday life.
